Cheerleaders of the Los Angeles Chargers
The Los Angeles Chargers are an American professional football team that plays in the NFL. Their cheerleading squad, also known as Los Angeles Charger Girls, had been associated with the team and cheering for them for over three decades before they were dissolved in 2021.
Speaking of the two women standing in the front in this picture, they look confident, and their smiles sure uplift the moods of the fans and the players. The squad is managed by e2k Events and Entertainment, an event management which also manages Sacramento Kings and San Francisco 49ers. The group is also known to release an annual swimsuit calendar.
Cheerleaders of the Arizona Cardinals
The football team, Arizona Cardinals was formed way back in 1989 and they joined the NFL in 1920. Even though their cheerleading squad is one to watch out for in every one of their game and the performances of the athletes are extraordinary as well, they are sad they won their last NFL championship in 1947.
The girl in the front that is leading the Cardinals cheerleading squad is putting quite the effort into her work. It is therefore no surprise to know that she was selected as the team's Cheerleader of the Week in September 2019. She attended Grand Canyon University for a college education.
Cheerleaders of the Dallas Cowboys
The squad of girls that cheers on the Dallas Cowboys team was founded back in 1961 and is often nicknamed 'America's Sweethearts.' Initialized as DCC, they have usually made off-the-field appearances as well, while they have also been featured in various reality TV shows, films, and documentaries.
From 2006 to 2021, the DCC produced a reality TV series called " Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders: Making the Team," which showed the grueling auditions and processes that selected the annual squad. The eight-episode podcast "America's Girls," released in December 2021, featured interviews with various squad members. A few girls also made an appearance at "Wrestlemania 38."
Cheerleaders of the Green Bay Packers
This picture is of the Niles West graduate, Elizabeth Byrne, who cheered for the football team at St. Norbert College in Wisconsin. She had chosen it because of its excellent education program. Byrne also performed for the Greenbay packers at their home games, according to a 2016 Chicago Tribune article.
The packers team had their first cheerleading squad perform for them back in 1931. It was in 1988 that the group decided that they didn't need a permanent team and instead started to use collegiate squads, initially opting for the University of Wisconsin squad and later the St. Norbert's squad, both of them only performing at their home games.
Cheerleaders of the Seattle Seahawks
The cheerleading troupe of the Seattle Seahawks football team was initially known as 'Sea Gals.' In 2019, they rebranded the name to 'Seahawks Dancers' after they added professional stuntmen to the squad. Now, they are one of the few coed cheerleading squads in the NFL.
While it sounds like the men might not add as much flavor to the scene, they light up the crowd. Over the years, the squad has included some notable celebrities, including Christina Clarke, the 2012 Miss Washington USA, Amber Lancaster, "The Price Is Right actress, and Julie Shipley-Childs, and fitness competitor and an IFBB professional.
Cheerleaders of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers started playing in the NFL in 1976. That was when they created their first cheerleading squad named "Swash-Buc-Lers." They later renamed that to "Tampa Bay Buccaneers Cheerleaders" in 1999. With an updated website, they always have their squad members listed for the fans to view.
The Buccaneers' troupe is one of the few coed groups in the NFL. While the actual game from which this picture was taken is unknown, the girls all look toned and energetic. The Buccaneers team is quite successful, having won two Super Bowl Championships, one of which was with the legendary quarterback, Tom Brady.
Cheerleaders of the Indianapolis Colts
A 2011 CNBC article ranked the top cheerleading NFL squads and rated the Indianapolis Colts at the top. The reason behind this was the immense interaction of the management with their fans. Based on the article, the fans vote and choose who among the squad they want by looking at their portfolios.
Even in 2022, there were girls from all walks of life in the cheerleading group, including management assistants, lab technicians, and more. Their cheerleaders gained nationwide fame when many shaved their heads to pay tribute to Chuck Pagano, former American football player who had survived a terminal ailment.
Cheerleaders of the Philadelphia Eagles
The Philadelphia Eagles are one of the most renowned teams in the NFL and won the Super Bowl Championship in 2017. Their cheerleading squad is enthusiastic and has been with the team since 1948. When they debuted, they were called Eaglettes, while they renamed Liberty Belles in the '70s and finally became Philadelphia Eagles Cheerleaders.
Their squad has featured some great names over time. Beverly Lynne was in the group between 1998 and 2000, featured in multiple Playboy ventures, and became an adult film actress, while Rachel Washburn was in the squad between 2007 and 2008 and later joined the U.S. Army.
Cheerleaders of the New England Patriots
The New England Patriots Cheerleaders are undoubtedly some of the best in the business. In 2008, they were chosen to train a team of Chinese dancers for the Olympic games. Formed in 1971, they have backed their team to six Super Bowl wins and various AFC East Championships.
Speaking of their looks, these girls became winners at multiple beauty pageants and became successful in other industries as well. Leah Van Dale became a WWE wrestler, and Tracy Sormanti became the Pro Bowler and team's Cheerleading Director. At the same time, Alysha Castonguay, Jonét Nichelle, and Kelsey Fournier have been Miss Rhode Island USA.
Cheerleaders of the Cincinnati Bengals
The Cincinnati Bengals cheerleaders are a lively troupe. Besides flaunting their orange, white, and black colors on the field, the fans may often hear their signature "Who Dey" chant, i.e., the name of their mascot, a Bengal tiger, always on their side for support.
Besides their great looks and athleticism, their official Instagram profile often posts the great things happening in the squad. It celebrates the birthdays of the cheerleaders posting their pictures and videos, while the page also features their Cheerleader of the Week winners. Popularly known as the Cincinnati Ben-Gals, they also have a junior squad like most other NFL teams.
Cheerleaders of the New Orleans Saints
Cheerleaders of the New Orleans Saints are named Saintsations. The dance group not only performs at the Saints' games, but they also dance and perform at several community events. Since their formation in 1987, their team has won a Super Bowl and Conference Championship.
The cheerleading troupe has undergone various changes in the past. The New Orleans Saints dance team formed in 1967 was called Lousiannes, which later changed to Saints Dancers, and subsequently Mademoiselles before becoming Mam'selles. Another revamp was introduced in 1975, naming them Bonnes Amies. The name Saintsations was finally chosen in a fan poll when the squad was revamped again in 1987.
Cheerleaders of the Carolina Panthers
The cheerleading squad in this picture represents the Carolina Panthers, who call themselves TopCats. Representing the name, they wear the signature blue and black to match their logo. The Instagram profile of the squad had about 28,000 followers in 2022 and often featured testimonials of the girls.
The Panthers are a comparatively new team to the NFL circuit that started playing in 1995. Nonetheless, they have won two NFC Conference Championships and several NFC Division Championships. The team's home ground is the Bank of America Stadium in uptown Charlotte which can seat about 75,000 people, while the cats can sure cheer them all up.
Cheerleaders of the Jacksonville Jaguars
The Florida-based team Jacksonville Jaguars is cheered on by these women in their NFL games. The squad of dancers backing them was previously called Roar of the Jaguars up until 2011. After that, they renamed it Jacksonville Roar. The team has published a swimsuit calendar every year since 1998.
Roar holds try-outs each spring to fill places for cheerleaders that have left. Besides performing at the home games, the members are goodwill ambassadors performing at charity and corporate events. Most charitable events include members taking pictures and signing autographs for the fans. Cheerleaders also travel and perform for American service members around the globe.
Cheerleaders of the Los Angeles Rams
The cheerleading squad representing the Los Angeles Rams from the NFL has also undergone a few name changes. When they were established in the '70s, they were called Embraceable Ewes. They were later renamed St. Louis Rams Cheerleaders and Los Angeles Rams Cheerleaders. The Rams have won two Super Bowls with the girls backing them.
The squad has featured various notable members. Lisa Guerrero was on their team in the '80s, and she later became a sports broadcaster and an investigative correspondent for the news magazine Inside Edition. Apollonia Kotero, a costar from Purple Rain, also cheered for the squad around that same time.
Cheerleaders of the San Francisco 49ers
They are known as the San Francisco 49ers Gold Rush Cheerleaders; the squad girls back their team through the NFL games. But that is not the entirety of it, as they have traveled across Europe and Japan to perform their lively dances and entertained audiences at charity events.
The Gold Rush was the first singing and dancing troupe in the NFL, with every one of their members capable of matching the rhythm. Not many people know this, but the actress from the TV series "Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman," Teri Hatcher, was a squad member in 1984.
Cheerleaders of the Buffalo Bills
The Buffalo Bills team was founded in 1960, and since then, they have won multiple championships. That partly owes to their amazing fans, cheered by their dance squad named the Buffalo Jills, which sadly only existed until 2014 when the Jills entered a legal controversy with the Bills.
Besides appearances and performances at numerous charitable events during their run, the Jills became the only NFL cheerleaders squad to perform for the American troops in Iraq between February and March 2007. The former Jills now have a Buffalo Jills Alumni Association that regularly meets for community service activities. One of the members of the Jills was Katherine "Katie" Kaczor-Bichler.
Cheerleaders of the Detroit Lions
Formed in 1963, Detroit Lions Cheerleaders is the squad that cheers for the Detroit Lions in their NFL games. With a straightforward color scheme, their outfit is white and blue. Nonetheless, they never fail to stun their fans with their athleticism and stunning looks.
The squad was later discontinued in 1974. However, it was reinstated in 2016. Rebecca Girard-Smoker, who was previously associated with other teams, became their coach. The squad performs at NFL games and community events. The time in which they had no dancers was because their owner, William Clay Ford Sr., was not supportive of the idea.
Cheerleaders of the Las Vegas Raiders
Aptly named after the football team, the Las Vegas Raiderettes cheer for the NFL team, the Las Vegas Raiders. The name has been with the squad since they were formed with the team in Los Angeles in 1982. The name stuck even when the team was moved first to Oakland and then to Las Vegas.
In each of the three cities, they have been called "Football's Fabulous Females." While the women of the team have attained success in various other fields, one in particular, named Cheryl Moana Marie Nunes, became a Bond Girl in the 2002 edition of the spy movie "Nightfire."
Cheerleaders of the Baltimore Ravens
These fabulous women seen in the picture are called the Baltimore Ravens Cheerleaders. The squad also features men and is one of the few coed dance troupes in the NFL. This might surprise many, but the stunning WWE wrestler, Stacy Kiebler, was once a member of this team in the late '90s.
Currently having 18 females on it, the squad cheers for the team at all home games, makes appearances around Baltimore to raffle off tickets, and is known as "The Baltimore Ravens Playmakers." Besides the usuals, the Ravens cheerleaders train at the Maryland Twisters, a cheerleaders' gymnasium in Hanover, Maryland.
Cheerleaders of the Minnesota Vikings
The Minnesota Vikings are a team based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and their home ground is the U.S. Bank Stadium. The team's mascot is Viktor the Viking, and their dark color theme of pink and golden suffices to portray a rich and royal theme. The same theme forwards on to their cheerleaders as well.
At one point in history, the cheerleading squad associated with the team was called Minnesota Vikings Cheerleaders, also called Vi-Queens. The squad performs at all home games and makes appearances at charity events. Since 2001, they also release a swimsuit calendar like many others in the NFL.
Cheerleaders of the Houston Texans
The Houston Texans team was included in the NFL in 2002 as an ode to neutralize the 32 teams after a little reshuffling in the late '90s. Since then, they have won six AFC South Division Championships. The cheerleading squad named Houston Texans Cheerleaders has been with the team ever since and is a dance troupe.
Aside from the usually choreographed dances at the NFL games, the squad is also involved in multiple other activities. For example, they held a golf tournament in 2011 titled "Birds and Birdies" and organized a "Happy Holidays Show" in the same year, where cheerleaders from across the city performed.
Cheerleaders of the Miami Dolphins
People who recall Shannon Ford from Season 3 of the TV series "The Bachelor" or Bibiana Julian from a later season might remember that they have both performed for the Miami Dolphins in the NFL. But that isn't all; various ex-cheerleaders from the squad have appeared on TV at one point or the other.
Established in 1978, they were called Dolphins Starbrites up until 1983. The Miami Dolphins Cheerleaders squad usually performs at their home ground of Hard Rock Stadium. Interestingly, each year, the Dolphins send their cheerleaders to the Pro Bowl and their alums to the Indian cricketing league titled Indian Premiere League.
Cheerleaders of the Atlanta Falcons
The Atlanta Falcons have twice changed their home field ever since they became a part of the NFL in 1966. They have yet to win a Super Bowl. However, that does not stop their cheerleaders from performing an awe-striking display of acrobatics and dances every time. The Falcons did win an NFC Conference Championship in 1998 and 2016.
Alike all other squads in the NFL, the Falcons' Cheerleaders squad auditions and recruits new talents each year. In 2022, the squad was sponsored by the Aesthetic Speciality Centre, Orange Theory Fitness, Kiss, and Palm Beach Tan, all skincare and health-based organizations.
Cheerleaders of the Kansas City Chiefs
The Kansas City Chiefs won their second Super Bowl in February 2020 while the world was on the brink of entering mass lockdowns. Despite the government-laid restrictions on travel and outdoor activity, the Chiefs made it to the finals of the Super Bowl again the very next year.
The Chiefs Cheerleaders have backed their team with the best performances. The cheerleading squad was founded with the team's inception in 1960 and was then called Chiefettes. The squad later inducted a few men in 1986 but went to an all-girl team again in 1992. They were at Telecable, possibly for "Hooray for Kids" or "Miss Jackie's Show."
Cheerleaders of the Tennessee Titans
The Tennessee Titans Cheerleaders' coed squad had this white outfit sometime around the mid-'10s, while they now have a flashy navy blue uniform. The team cheers on the Tennessee Titans and their mascot, T-Rac, and their home ground, the Nissan Stadium in Nashville.
Apart from cheering at NFL games, the squad also does various off-the-field activities, including traveling to perform at birthday parties in Smyrna and to military bases in Kuwait. The dance team has also appeared on the famous "The Oprah Winfrey Show" and "The Dr. Oz Show." A troupe can be called for a private performance directly from the Titans' website.
Cheerleaders of the Denver Broncos
The TV personality and host of the show "Kiana's Flex Appeal," Tatiana Anderson, was once a part of the cheerleading team backing the Denver Broncos. Besides that, Jamie Dukehart-Conti, Miss Colorado 2008, and Lauren Gardner, a sportscaster on the CBS Sports Network, among other notable members, have also been on this squad.
The Denver Broncos have had the dance troupe with them since they were founded in 1993. These cheerleaders also have traveled to several countries, including Egypt, Afghanistan, and Hawaii, to perform their 90-minute routine for the American troops. They also perform at other events, such as the New Year's parade in Hong Kong in 2015.
Cheerleaders of the Washington Commanders
Ever since the reallocation of the team to Washington, the NFL side has taken on different names throughout its history. They were first called Washington Redskins up until 2019, and they changed it to Washington Football Team in 2020 before opting for Washington Commanders in 2022.
The same goes for their cheerleading squad, which was initially called Redskinettes following their formation in 1962. However, they were called Command Force in 2022 with the team name change. The outfit in the picture is from their days when they were backing the Redskins. Even though their color scheme stayed the same, the uniform's design underwent a slight change following 2022.
Cheerleaders of the New York Jets
Under the director Denise Garvey, the Jets Flight Crew went on a hiatus in 2022 while their squad still performed at other events as directed by the New York Jets team management. Probably most wittily named to match the profile of their football team, the dance troupe was known as the Jets Flag Crew before 2007.
Various alumni from the group, including Tiffany Torres, Natalie Negrotti, and Krista DeBono, have appeared on reality TV shows such as "The Amazing Race 27" as competitors. They started publishing a swimsuit calendar in 2009, while the Junior Flight Crew came into existence in 2010, which the seniors train.
