She’s been anything but away from the camera, and she’s even set to appear in an upcoming movie titled Unplugging.
Phoebe Cates - Age 57
She’s now 57 years old, but Phoebe Cates still reminds us of when she graced our screens with her good looks in the '80s. It’s only natural that she was a model before she decided to pursue acting. Jami Gertz - Age 55
Jami Gertz hasn’t been seen so much on-screen these days, but we suppose that’s what happens when you’re so busy managing your multi-million-dollar investments. But it turns out Post never studied law. She actually studied in a liberal arts school, which is quite a different thing. But it might give a hint as to why she’s such a brilliant actress. She put her brilliant skills to use in 2018, where she appeared in an episode of the Santa Clarita Diet.
Heather Thomas - Age 63
Heather Thomas has had a bit of involvement in things like politics and environmental activism in recent years, but she’s come a long way in the entertainment industry before starting such ventures. A huge Hollywood A-lister since the early '70s, Al Pacino started the '80s with the wrong foot. The 1980 thriller Cruising was considered offensive by New York's gay community and the comedy Author! Author! was slammed by the critics. But when it looked like Pacino was losing his ability to pick up great scripts, he starred in what's arguably his most memorable work, the 1983 classic Scarface.
Appearing in The Godfather should be enough to make any actor happy, but Pacino never gave up show business and is still active today. Now 81, this outstanding award-winning performer is about to appear in the 2021 movie House of Gucci.
Jack Nicholson - Age 84
Name a decade, and you'll most likely find a Jack Nicholson masterpiece. After appearing in movies such as Chinatown and One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Nicholson started the '80s with the Stanley Kubrick horror classic The Shining. The fact that he earned no Academy Award for his performance in the 1980 thriller is still a puzzling bit of Hollywood trivia.
But don't worry, because Nicholson was able to collect a whopping three Academy Awards and six Golden Globe Awards before stepping away from cinema in 2013. His last on-screen appearance was the 2010 comedy How Do You Know.
Anthony Hopkins - Age 83
When we think of an 83-year-old man, we don't think of a man in his prime. But we have to open an exception for Sir Anthony Hopkins, for he was great in the 2020 drama The Father, one of the most acclaimed movies of the 2021 award season, which earned him his second Academy Award for Best Actor.
In the '80s, Hopkins was still waiting to land his unforgettable part as Hannibal Lecter from Silence of the Lambs, but he was already a well-established name in Hollywood. During the Yuppie decade, he appeared in David Lynch's The Elephant Man, A Change of Seasons, and The Bounty.
Clint Eastwood - Age 91
Clint Eastwood had a lot of fun during the '80s. He starred and directed movies such as Honkytonk Man and the critically acclaimed Bronco Billy, making the most of this period to showcase his versatility as an actor and director. After the '80s, nobody thought of Eastwood as "that cowboy fellow" anymore.
What's most impressive, though, is that Eastwood never stopped working in Hollywood. Over the years, he landed hits such as Million Dollar Baby and Gran Torino. In 2021, at the unbelievable age of 91, Eastwood is about to release yet another movie where he is both the director and the star, the drama/western Cry Macho.
Richard Gere - Age 71
We don't know if the '80s would've ever been the same without Richard Gere. The American actor from Pennsylvania kick-started the decade by starring in American Gigolo and the 1980 movie that allowed him to become a male symbol worldwide. But Gere was more than a pretty boy; he was also an incredibly talented performer.
Retired in 2019, Gere made the most out of his '80s breakthrough role and built an impressive Hollywood career. He's best known for his romantic movies, including some phenomenal rom-coms such as Pretty Woman and Shall We Dance.
Kevin Costner - Age 66
It took a while for Kevin Costner to really hit it off. But his career skyrocketed after 1987, the year he landed his breakthrough role in the movie The Untouchables. The rest of the decade was perfect for the California native, who appeared in Bull Durham, No Way Out, and Field of Dreams.
He started the '90s with the epic Dances with Wolves, which earned him two Academy Awards. Not long after, he appeared in his best-known box-office hit movie, The Bodyguard. Still active today, Costner is the star/producer of the Yellowstone TV series and is producing a new show titled National Parks.
Jeff Bridges - Age 71
Yes, Jeff Bridges is about to appear in a new series titled The Old Man. But don't get fooled by the name; at the age of 71, the one-and-only Bridges is still a sharp Hollywood performer with a very cool reputation.
Active since 1951, Bridges is best known for his legendary late '90s role in The Big Lebowski. However, he was already sitting at the top of the world during the '80s. The Yuppie decade treated Bridges just right, and he was given a chance to appear in movies such as TRON, Against All Odds, 8 Million Ways to Die, and Nadine.
Ben Kingsley - Age 77
Sir Ben Kingsley landed what's arguably his most impressive role in 1982. He was given a chance to star in Gandhi, an inspiring three-hour biographical movie. While it's strange that a man from Yorkshire was chosen to portray one of India's greatest national heroes, his rendition of the nonviolent activist was simply flawless.
In fact, flawless is a word that describes Kingsley's career pretty accurately. You can see Kingsley doing all kinds of roles, but we bet you'll never see him doing a bad one! In recent years, the still-active English actor has been busy working in Spider in the Web and Locked Down.
Richard Dreyfuss - Age 73
The American actor Richard Dreyfuss became the youngest recipient of an Academy Award for Best Actor in 1978 and was only surpassed by a 30-year-old Adrien Brody in 2003. While he experienced some cocaine-related issues at the start of the '80s, he managed to continue to be one of Hollywood's most-wanted actors and appeared in movies such as Stand by Me, The Body, and Always.
Still active at the age of 73, Dreyfuss's been having a busy 2021 and is set to appear in three upcoming movies, including Crime Story. Married on three occasions, Dreyfuss is the father of three children, including the American actor/journalist Ben Dreyfuss.
William Hurt - Age 71
In 1980, the American actor William Hurt decided to leave the stage for the studio and made his film debut with the sci-fi flick Altered States. He had to wait a mere five years before getting an Academy Award, and he did so with the 1985 drama film Kiss of the Spider Woman.
From then on, Hurt became a well-established name in Hollywood. With over 100 credits in his filmography, the Washington, D.C. native still appears routinely in movies and TV series today. The latest? The hilarious sitcom Mythic Quest: Raven's Banquet and the Marvel flick Black Widow, in which he portrayed Secretary Ross.
Mel Gibson - Age 65
It's a fact that the Braveheart superstar Mel Gibson has behaved very poorly on one or two occasions. But the American actor/director still needs to be praised for his fantastic career. During the '80s, Gibson was mainly known for his work in the Mad Max film series, which started in 1979 and ended with 1985's Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome.
Ignored by the casting directors of the 2015 action epic Mad Max: Fury Road, Gibson has managed to operate a decent Hollywood comeback in recent years. Now more dedicated than ever to his off-camera work, Gibson has recently been announced as the director of the upcoming The Wild Bunch movie.
Gene Hackman - Age 91
The former American actor Gene Hackman has been enjoying his well-deserved retirement since 2004 (even though he made a brief 2016 comeback). Best known for the 1971 movie The French Connection, Hackman appeared in over 100 productions since the mid-'50s, remaining one of the most talented American actors of the 20th century.
Pretty much like the rest of Hackman's life, his '80s can be summed up in three words: work, work, work. Always a professional, Hackman appeared in over twenty movies throughout the Yuppie decade, including Uncommon Valor and Split Decisions.
John Malkovich - Age 67
John Malkovich loves to play foreign characters in movies and is known for his European-styled charm. But the remarkable 67-year-old actor is an Illinois native with plenty of Hollywood experience. He got his first major role with the 1984 drama The Killing Fields. Not long after, he worked with Steven Spielberg in Empire of the Sun and acted alongside Glenn Close in 1988's Dangerous Liaisons.
Still active, Malkovich is one of the few Hollywood superstars who doesn't mind getting a slimmer paycheck for a chance to work in a daring, artsy movie. The best example is perhaps the short 100 Years, which is set to be released in... 2115.
Robert Duvall - Age 90
At the start of the '80s, the American actor/filmmaker Robert Duvall was already a Hollywood legend. His filmography included To Kill a Mockingbird, MASH, and True Grit. But Duvall never missed an opportunity to appear in yet another great film and performed in many '80s movies, including Tender Mercies, Colors, and The Natural.
A man who's lived a full life, Duvall served in the U.S. Army before becoming a household name in the show biz world. Now 90 years old, the San Diego native is still doing what he loves the most. This year, he appeared in his first movie since 2018, the sports drama 12 Mighty Orphans.
Robin Williams - Died At Age 63
While Robin Williams started by making a name for himself as a comedian, he was so successful as an '80s actor that most people know him for his on-screen career. It all started with Popeye in 1980, and the follow-ups were even better: Moscow on the Hudson, Good Morning, Vietnam, and the unforgettable Dead Poets Society, in which he proved to be way more than just a funny actor!
Sadly, Williams was always better at making other people happy than at being happy himself. At the time of his death in 2014, he struggled with a type of dementia known as Lewy Body disease.
F. Murray Abraham - Age 81
The American actor F. Murray Abraham surely recalls the '80s with fondness. In 1984, he was at the peak of his acting abilities and made a splash with his portrayal of Antonio Salieri in the highly ambitious 161-minute masterpiece Amadeus. The iconic role earned him an Academy Award, a Golden Globe Award, and a BAFTA nomination.
But Abraham is by no means a one-trick pony. From comedies to dramas, from blockbusters to TV series, he appeared in over 120 productions as an actor and is still doing it today! In 2021, he made it to the sitcom Mythic Quest: Raven's Banquet and the horror-drama movie Things Heard & Seen.
Timothy Hutton - Age 60
The acting career of Timothy Hutton is hardly disappointing. But some fans were probably expecting more from the California native. After all, he did win an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor at the precocious age of 20, making him the youngest person ever to land that particular accolade.
The '80s were arguably the best period of Hutton's career. He appeared in Ordinary People (the movie that earned him the Oscar record), Taps, The Falcon and the Snowman, and Made in Heaven. Hutton never stopped working until today and has most recently appeared in the TV series Almost Family.
Tom Cruise - Age 59
Can you think of a more popular actor than Tom Cruise? The perennial Hollywood A-lister got his start in the '80s with movies such as Risky Business, Rain Man, and, more crucially, the action drama hit Top Gun. Before the end of the decade, Cruise still found the time to appear in another unforgettable American classic: Oliver Stone's Born on the Fourth of July.
Cruise's films have grossed a whopping $10.1 billion (and counting) over the years. Known for performing his own stunts, Cruise has made it to a vast number of hit movies, including Mission: Impossible and its sequels, Jerry Maguire, Vanilla Sky, and War of the Worlds.
Ian Holm - Died At Age 88
The late Sir Ian Holm started his acting career in 1957, but he only made his film debut in 1968 with the British drama The Bofors Gun. At the start of the '80s, he was already a well-establish actor and managed to get a role in Brazil, a beautiful 1985 sci-fi drama starring Jonathan Pryce, Kim Greist, and Robert De Niro.
Retired in 2014, Holm passed away in 2020, at the age of 88. In his last years as an actor, he became popular for portraying Bilbo Baggins in the fan-favorite Lord of the Rings trilogy.
Willem Dafoe - Age 65
You don't need to take a second look at the poster of 1982's Loveless to realize that Willem Dafoe was one of the world's coolest actors back in the day. His one-of-a-kind charisma and terrific acting talent allowed him to build on top of Loveless's success and appear in movies such as To Live and Die in L.A. and Streets of Fire.
Still a worldwide ambassador for coolness, the ever-stylish Dafoe looks great at the age of 65. He has over 140 acting credits in his filmography, including titles such as Spider-Man, Antichrist, The Florida Project, and the new 2021 Wes Anderson movie The French Dispatch.
Tom Berenger - Age 72
The American actor Tom Berenger lived some of his best years during the '80s. He appeared in 1983's comedy-drama The Big Chill and made it to the sports comedy film Major League. But 1986 marked his heyday: Berenger starred alongside Charlie Sheen and Willem Dafoe in Oliver Stone's Platoon and landed an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor!
While Platoon remains his best-known work, Berenger has remained active until today and appeared in a fair share of iconic flicks, including the puzzling 2010 science-fiction drama Inception. A father of six, Berenger was married to four different women and has most recently appeared in 2020's Battle of the Bulge: Winter War.
Bill Murray - Age 70
The American actor Bill Murray and the '80s make for a combination as delicious as chocolate and milk. After getting famous on SNL, Murray got a chance to fully showcase his talent in the hits Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters II. He also appeared in Tootsie, Stripes, and Caddyshack.
Apart from Ghostbusters, Murray's most popular films include the perfect comedy Groundhog Day and the critically acclaimed dramedy Lost in Translation. A regular collaborator of the inventive director Wes Anderson, Murray is one of the stars of 2021's The French Dispatch, which also features Owen Wilson, Elisabeth Moss, Benicio Del Toro, and Tilda Swinton.
Morgan Freeman - Age 84
The beloved American actor Morgan Freeman landed his breakthrough role in 1987, with the thriller Street Smart. He was nominated for an Academy Award and never looked back since; his career skyrocketed and Freeman's roles only got better and better...
If the '80s were Freeman's breakthrough decade, the '90s allowed him to become a bonafide legend. He appeared in Se7en and The Shawshank Redemption, which has been voted one of the best films of all time by the IMDb reviewers. Besides being a great screen performer, Freeman also has one of Hollywood's most beautiful and recognizable speaking voices and is arguably the world's most popular movie/documentary narrator.
Nick Nolte - Age 80
The star of the 2020 TV series Paradise Lost, the American actor Nick Nolte has managed to stay relevant and active for over half a century. His best-known film is the '90s classic The Prince of Tides, but Nolte worked extensively during the '80s, appearing in Down and Out in Beverly Hills, 48 Hrs., and Teachers.
More than a talented screen performer, Nolte is also a bonafide male symbol. While he's given up his modeling career in the early '70s, he was named People magazine's steamiest man alive in 1992. He struggled with substance abusive for the majority of his life but has reportedly managed to stay clean since 2002.
John Belushi - Died At Age 33
It's impossible not to think of John Belushi when considering the '80s. In 1982, the up-and-coming actor/comedian passed away tragically at the young age of 33. He was popularized by his appearances on SNL and made it to a handful of Hollywood movies, including Neighbors, Continental Divide, 1941, and, most notably, The Blues Brothers.
Sadly, Belushi's possibly great career was cut short way too soon. He passed away after receiving an injection of combined drugs that caused him to overdose. While the matter's still controversial, it's possible Belushi's death was caused by the groupie/backup singer Cathy Smith, who passed away in 2020.
Danny Glover - Age 74
The Lethal Weapon film series is an indispensable part of '80s pop culture in the United States, and the fans of the comedy flicks have Danny Glover to thank. He was great in the role of Roger Murtaugh and made audiences laugh all over the world. During the '80s, he also appeared in Steven Spielberg's The Color Purple and Witness.
Still active at the age of 74, Glover has most recently appeared in Saint Paul. Besides being a hardworking show biz performer, Glover is very politically active. For his decades-long advocacy, Glover will receive the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award in 2021.
Eddie Murphy - Age 60
The ever-young Eddie Murphy was very busy during the '80s. He became famous as a comedian by appearing on SNL and still found the time to become one of the biggest movie stars in the United States. In the meantime, he released some classic stand-up comedy specials that will still make you laugh today.
Curiously enough, Murphy (and '80s movies in particular) have been getting a revival in recent years. Coming 2 America was released in 2021, and Murphy is set to appear in a new Beverly Hills Cop movie and Triplets, an upcoming sequel for the comedy film Twins, now featuring Murphy as a third, lost sibling.
Steve Martin - Age 75
Considered to be one of the greatest stand-up comedians ever, Steve Martin has been doing his thing since the '60s. But he only made it as a movie star in the '80s, with movies such as Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid, Roxanne, and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. Besides starring in some of these movies, Martin was also in charge of the screenplay.
A show biz do-it-all, Martin is still working at the age of 75. His new project is a TV series titled Only Murders in the Building. Besides being a great on-screen performer, Martin has also excelled as a Broadway creator and is known for being a great banjo player.
Michael J. Fox - Age 60
Michael J. Fox was practically a kid when he landed a spot in the casting of the Family Ties sitcom, where he met his lovely wife Tracy Pollan. But Fox's career just wouldn't have been the same without Marty McFly. The sci-fi film series Back to the Future was one of the most iconic of the Yuppie decade, and movie buffs have Fox to thank for it!
Fox worked extensively during the '80s but was never able to replicate his Back to the Future success in later years. Still, he used his recognizable name to advocate for a cure for Parkinson's disease. In 2020, he decided to retire from acting.
John Candy - Died At Age 43
The Canadian actor/comedian John Candy was pretty famous during the '80s. He appeared in many popular films, including National Lampoon's Vacation, Splash, Spaceballs, and Planes, Trains and Automobiles. The co-owner of a Canadian football team, Candy was also the star of Uncle Buck, a John Hughes comedy featuring a young Macaulay Culkin.
Sadly, Candy's Hollywood career was cut short in 1994, when he died from a heart attack. He was only 43 at the time, but he was the victim of his frantic, stressful lifestyle and unhealthy habits, which included chain-smoking, alcohol abuse, and binge-eating.
Rutger Hauer - Died At Age 75
The doors of the United States are always open for talented European actors, but Rutger Hauer's notable Hollywood career is still impressive. The late Dutch actor was born in a small town in the province of Utrecht but made it all the way to the mighty city of L.A. to appear in movies like Blade Runner, Ladyhawke, and Blind Fury.
Hauer worked in huge American blockbusters (including Sin City and Batman Begins) almost until the day he died. He passed away in 2019, following a short illness. One year later, he was honored with a ceremony that was attended by the likes of Sharon Stone and Miranda Richardson.
Kevin Kline - Age 73
Meryl Streep's performance in the 1982 romantic drama Sophie's Choice was so breathtaking that some people have ignored Kevin Kline's equally brilliant film debut. But the talented actor from Missouri was still able to make a name for himself in Hollywood, and the '80s were undoubtedly his heyday: he appeared in many movies, including The Big Chill, Silverado, and A Fish Called Wanda.
Now 73, Kline's been mainly busy working in the animated series Bob's Burgers (he voices the character of Mr. Fischoeder). Earlier in 2021, he played a fictionalized version of himself in the Billy Crystal comedy-drama movie Here Today.
Matt Dillon - Age 57
Teenagers can be annoying, but is there anything more popular than a bona fide teen icon? The American actor Matt Dillon was a young sensation during the '80s, and he knew exactly how to deliver on the big screen! He appeared in My Bodyguard, Little Darlings, and Tex, just to name a few.
Unlike other teen icons of the '80s, Dillon proved to be a responsible fellow and managed to keep his career on the right track. Still active and popular today, the 57-year-old New York native has already appeared in over 60 movies. The latest? The 2020 biopic Capone.
Chevy Chase - Age 77
When you think of the style of comedy of the National Lampoon magazine and movies, Chevy Chase's the face that comes to mind. The American comedian/actor was big during the Yuppie decade and made it to flicks as hilarious as Fletch and Three Amigos. Not to mention, of course, the National Lampoon's Vacation film series!
While it's been a while since we've last heard of National Lampoon, the same can't be said about Chase. Still working hard at the age of 77, he has most recently appeared in The Very Excellent Mr. Dundee and the animation Panda vs. Aliens.
Robert Redford - Age 84
When the '80s started, Robert Redford decided to embrace a new project. He was a major Hollywood actor already, but he wanted to try his luck as a director. Surprisingly enough, the first movie he ever made was one of the best of the entire decade. It was the powerful drama Ordinary People, which landed Redford an Academy Award for Best Director.
It should be impossible to do better than that, but Redford still managed to get the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2016! It was a worthy distinction, honoring a highly influential acting career that's been going on for over 6 decades.
Kurt Russell - Age 70
Kurt Russell landed his acting debut at the incredibly precocious age of 12. Now 70 years old, the Massachusetts native is still working in the industry and has just appeared in the 2021 blockbuster F9. In the '80s, Russell did some of his best work, with the highlight being Silkwood, a terrific drama also starring Meryl Streep and Cher.
But it would be rude to talk about Russell in the '80s without mentioning the amazing action flick Escape from New York. The futuristic John Carpenter movie was as crazy as it was fun, and Russell was simply perfect in the role of Bob "Snake" Plissken.
Arnold Schwarzenegger - Age 73
In the late '70s, the great Arnold Schwarzenegger appeared in the documentary Pumping Iron. He was such a likable figure that it didn't take him long to get his first big shot in Hollywood. His breakthrough role? A dreamy leading part in the Conan the Barbarian box-office hit. The follow-up was even better: a presence in the cast of the '80s action/sci-fi classic The Terminator!
From an Austrian bodybuilder to an American A-list actor, Schwarzenegger's story was already a fairly impressive one. But he went even further and became the governor of California. Now back to acting, Schwarzenegger has most recently appeared in the TV series Superhero Kindergarten.
James Woods - Age 74
With 145 credits on his filmography, the ever-busy American actor/producer James Woods has quite the reputation in Hollywood! But the '80s were arguably his best decade yet. He got a chance to work with some of the best directors of the time, including David Cronenberg (Videodrome), Oliver Stone (Salvador), and Sergio Leone (Once Upon a Time in America).
Later on, he starred in the 1998 horror classic Vampires and the cult film The Virgin Suicides. Now 74, Woods is also famous for reportedly being America's smartest actor. Besides acing his SATs, Woods is said to have a whopping IQ of 180.
Martin Short - Age 71
His name is Martin Short, but he's a huge Canadian-American actor. During the '80s, Short was standing taller than ever and making a name for himself in Hollywood. A recurring SNL superstar, he landed roles in movies as acclaimed as Innerspace, Three Fugitives, and Three Amigos.
Over the years, Short continued to act in SNL and even managed to get some important roles in a couple of Broadway productions! A truly versatile performer, Short has most recently appeared in the TV movie Good People and is currently working alongside Steve Martin in the upcoming TV series Only Murders in the Building.
Sylvester Stallone - Age 75
When movie buffs thought Sylvester Stallone was never going to be able to find success outside of Rocky, he surprised everybody by becoming Rambo. Stallone was cinema's most famous boxer in the '70s, but he still managed to become one of Hollywood's most beloved action figures during the '80s.
While most actors dream of leading a popular film franchise, Stallone got a chance to do it twice! Needless to say, he's still active and popular today. In 2021, he'll be voicing the CGI character of King Shark in the new superhero flick The Suicide Squad.
Emilio Estevez - Age 59
The Sheen family was huge during the '80s, but some people tend to forget about Emilio Estevez. While his father Martin and brother Charlie (yes, that Charlie!) were major Hollywood A-listers during the Yuppie decade, Estevez was best known for being a member of the Brat Pack, a group of young Generation X actors that was featured in many coming-of-age movies.
The most popular title of the Brat Pack is, by far, the 1985 teen classic The Breakfast Club. But The Outsiders and St. Elmo's Fire also make for very good examples. Still acting at the age of 59, Estevez has just appeared in Disney's The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers.
Rick Moranis - Age 68
The Canadian actor Rick Moranis may look more like an accountant than a Hollywood superstar, but don't be fooled by his glasses and likable personality... In the '80s, Moranis was taking Hollywood by storm and making it to movies as iconic as Ghostbusters, Ghostbusters II, Parenthood, Spaceballs, and Honey, I Shrunk the Kids.
Not long after Ghostbusters was recreated with an all-female cast, Moranis is now about to see another one of his classic flicks get a modern-day adaptation. A new movie based on Honey, I Shrunk the Kids is currently being produced and Moranis will be reprising his role as Wayne Szalinski.
Carl Weathers - Age 73
The American actor Carl Weathers saw his professional football career get cut short after just 4 years and decided to embrace a new life in Hollywood. While he missed his chance to make a name for himself in sports, he did manage to build a brilliant career as an actor.
Weathers' true calling has kept him busy for the last five decades, and the New Orleans native was at his prime during the '80s. He appeared in Rocky III and IV, Predator, and Action Jackson, where he was given the lead. More recently, Weathers has worked in Toy Story 4 and the hit series The Mandalorian.
Don Johnson - Age 71
After getting to know so many '80s movie stars, it's refreshing to find a TV legend on the list. The American actor Don Johnson has surely made it to a lot of movies, but he's still best known for his iconic role as James "Sonny" Crockett in Miami Vice, which was undoubtedly one of the biggest small-screen phenomenon of the Yuppie decade.
Johnson was later given the lead in Nash Bridges, yet another popular cop series. But while it doesn't sound like it, Johnson is a very versatile Hollywood actor, and his most recent role makes it obvious. He's the aging father-in-law Rick Noble in the 2021 sitcom Kenan.
Dan Aykroyd - Age 69
During the '80s, the Canadian-American actor Dan Aykroyd got a chance to work with some of the best performers of his generation. He shared the SNL stage with multiple talented comedians, starred in The Blues Brothers alongside the late John Belushi, played Dr. Stantz in Bill Murray's Ghostbusters, and worked alongside Morgan Freeman in Driving Miss Daisy.
Aykroyd's legacy is enviable, and it looks like he knows it! In recent years, Aykroyd's been busy reviving some of his most popular projects. He's working on a new film titled Ghostbusters: Afterlife and is one of the creators/writers of a newly-announced Blues Brothers TV series.
